I lost my father at the age of ten. Immediately thereafter I was confused, feeling lost, and had little motivation to move foreward in life. Indeed, the loss of a parent can have quite a numbing effect on a person’s life, especially at such a young age when you’re still developing into an adult.
Almost by accident I turned to the outdoors as my therapy. I started fishing, trapping and eventually when I got old enough, took up hunting. The outdoors became such a big facet of my life it soon was my motivation in life just to thrive.
As I matured eventually I taught Advanced Hunter Education (MN DNR), belonged to the Outdoor Writers Assoc. of America (OWAA), the Professional Outdoor Media Assoc. (POMA), served on several outdoor groups’ boards of directors. In other words, if it pertained to the outdoors over the past 45 years I’ve wanted to be part of it and likely experienced it in some fashion.
If you’re looking to write your own story in the outdoors industry I have both the experience and connections to assist your journey towards success. I’ve been to industry trade shows such as SHOT (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade) as well as ICAST (International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades) to know the current pulse of the outdoors.
I’m willing to serve either as a consultant or photographer for your outdoor project needs. Let’s discuss exactly how I can help to make your next outdoor story a successful one.
